There are numerous options for eating & drinking, and all within walking distance of the Coach House, including eight different fish and Chip Restaurants! There are also plenty of places to eat in neighbouring Cromford and Matlock and both of these are located one train stop away for those not wanting to drive, or a short 4 min drive away for those who are.

The Fig Coffee House (1min walk)

A lovely cosy family run coffee house, that provides great breakfasts, lunches and bakery items and is located at the bottom of Holme Rd, a moments walk from the Coach House.

The Balti Restaurant (1 min walk)

Great Indian food and a really warm welcome - perfect for an evening meal out with family and friends. The Restaurant also provides take away.

Rose Cottage Pub (7min walk)

Located roughly the centre point of Matlock Bath promenade, the Rose Cottage Pub is great for classic pub food or simply a craft beer or glass of wine.

Fish Pond Pub Matlock Bath (10min walk)

A lively pub, with a large selection of food and drinks and often with live music. Located at the opposite end of the Matlock Bath promenade from Coach House Mews - about a 10min minute walk.

The Midland Hotel (2min walk)

Located a moments walk from the Coach House, the pub offers outdoor seating, a beer garden overlooking the river, and a full bar. As of July 2025 - there is no food service being offered

Great for hot drinks and sweet treats - located at the southern end of Matlock Bath promenade

A lovely traditional bar and restaurant offering pub food through to three course restaurant options.

Stones Restaurant (Matlock) (5min drive or train one stop and 5 min walk)

Located within the centre of Matlock, and booking recommended, this is a great option for a special occasion lunch or dinner, with options of a 'la carte and tasting menus
