4 Coach House Mews

The Coach House is set over three floors (including ground), and the living area and kitchen are located on the first floor.  The House is therefore not recommended for Guests who cannot easily manage stairs.  Parking is located on the forecourt - a very short distance from 4 Coach House Mews.

Location

4 Coach House Mews is located in the very centre of Matlock Bath, close to the train station.

Outside Space

4 Coach House Mews is located in a peaceful south facing courtyard accessed by foot a short distance from the parking bay.  There is a small seating area immediately outside for Guests exclusive use, but Guests should note that the entire Courtyard space is communal and shared with two other properties within the Mews.

Guest Parking

There is one dedicated parking bay for Guests, and this is located in the Coach House forecourt and is the bay closest to Holme Rd and is sign posted "4 Coach House Mews"  Please do not park anywhere else in the parking forecourt other than the dedicated space for No 4, as this will prevent our neighbours accessing their spaces.

We kindly ask Guests to be aware of the low retaining wall on entrance and exit, which can easily be caught when negotiating the space for No 4.  We advise driving in to the main forecourt and reversing into the space, so that you can drive out when leaving.

Check in & Check out

Guests can check in from 4pm on their day of arrival via the secure lock box for which a code will be provided prior to arrival.  Check out is by 11am on the day of departure.  Early check in or late check out may be possible upon request, but cannot be guaranteed.

Babies & Children

4 Coach House Mews welcomes infants and children, however due to the nature of the Coach House, there are several potential hazards which Guests should pay close attention to during their stay with younger children.  Guests are therefore asked to closely supervise infants and children's safety at all times whilst within the property.  Particular attention and diligence should be shown with cleaning product accessibility, the cooking stove and children's independent use of the stairs, restricted head room spaces and other trip hazards.  No cot or high chair is available and Guests are advised to bring their own if required.

Dogs

Coach House Mews welcomes up to two well behaved dogs.  We kindly ask that all doggy guests refrain from sitting on any furniture in the property in order to protect the integrity of the furnishings and fabrics, and to avoid Guests incurring additional cleaning costs.  We also ask that you do not leave your dogs alone if they are likely to bark repeatedly and disturb our neighbours.

Our Service to you

When you stay at Coach House Mews, you will be provided with a dedicated point of contact, who will be available to help you with any questions you might have or support that you may require during your stay.  They will be available to telephone, WhatsApp or email during day time hours and may be able to visit the property during your stay should any issues arise which require their support.   We want you to have a really enjoyable and comfortable stay at Coach House Mews.  In the unlikely event you do have an issue or complaint, small or large then please do speak to us so we can resolve this for you.

Accessibility

Unfortunately 4 Coach House Mews is not wheel chair friendly as the property has both first and second floors.  The Coach House  is suitable for all Guests with reduced or limited mobility, who are able to climb the staircase (to access the first and second floors) and navigate low level steps between rooms with ease.

Shared Guest Consumables

The Coach House has shared consumables which are for the use and benefit of all Guests during their stay and periodically replaced when required.  We kindly ask Guests not to remove unused consumables on their departure so that future Guests can benefit from the same.

Security & Keys

Guests must remember to leave the property locked and secure at all times, ensuring both front and patio doors are locked. The Coach House is located in a safe area where crime events are very rare, but we do not have a burglar alarm and Guests are asked not to leave the property without ensuring it is secure - including closing the rear Velux windows which are accessible from the foot path.  This will also ensure guests belongings and property are kept safe.

Heating

The Coach House central heating system is operated by an energy efficient Hive system.   The thermostat can be found just outside the living room door.  Guests can also use individual radiator valves to increase or reduce the temperature within individual rooms.  Hot water and radiator temperature can also be increased or lowered directly on the boiler in the larder unit located within the kitchen.  Please be careful when increasing water temperature to ensure this does not scald you or other Guests and reduce this back to original position when vacating.

Noise, Parties & Neighbours

We request consideration and common sense are always applied in good measure when it comes to noise, and especially noise during anti social hours. We kindly ask that you keep noise to a minimum immediately outside the Coach House during anti social hours so as not to disturb the immediate neighbours.  Whilst guests are welcome to have visitors during the daytime, parties are strictly prohibited.  Coach House Mews is a closely knit communal development, and as such Guests are requested to arrive and leave quietly during anti social hours to avoid disturbing our neighbours.

Contents and Damages

Coach House Mews has a detailed inventory of its contents.  This is maintained at each point of turn around and prior to new Guests arriving. Please inform us if you accidently damage or break any contents, and please do not throw away any broken or damaged items.

Cleaning

We kindly ask that Guests remove muddy footwear in the hallway before entering other carpeted parts of the Coach House, and also ensure dogs are adequately clean.  We provide complimentary dog wipes and towels in the hall for Guests to use.

The cleaning of Coach House Mews is undertaken to very high standards.  If commercial or additional cleaning is required after Guest departure, then Guests will be liable for the cost of this commercial cleaning.  We are aware accidents can always happen, so please do inform us of any accidental damage caused before checking out.
